Chick Flick Infatuation

If you know me well, you know that one of my fatal flaws is how much I am a sucker for a good Chick Flick. I cannot help but get sucked into the light hearted romances that promise cheesy, mushy, light hearted, and fun love stories. (Eye roll here, guys). Well we all love what we love, right?! ... Anyway, I think one of the draws for me is in the set designs. Think about it, they are always bright, fun, and cheerful. I can hear the big bad wolf (or in this case, producers) now - "all the better to make you watch my dear". So here is my omage to those Chick Flick movies I love so dear and their interior decor set designs:

You've Got Mail. It would only be right to start off with my very first favorite Chick Flick that started it all, the now classic rom com, You've Got Mail. Much like Meg Ryans character her home is whimsical and has a cottage style feel - something different than the norm for what you'd think would be in the Big City.

Devil Wears Prada. The fashion world definitely inspires the interior design/decor world in this movie. The modern style of these interiors is so fresh and clean but you can definitely tell that the character's personality is just a tad strict.

Somethings Gotta Give. When scrounging the internet for images of this movie set, I realized so many people are inspired by this beautiful set design...and no wonder why; it's clean, traditional, cozy, beachy feel looks very comfortable and ready to relax in to.

Definitely a few set designs to inspire your own home decor. And, just ANOTHER reason to indulge in a corny romantic Chick Flick :)
